ÒWE

Ẹni tí ọ̀ṣọ́ bá wù k’ó ṣòwò, ẹni ajé ya ilé rẹ̀ l’ó gbọ́n

Translation: One who wants beautiful things should trade (or work ) for them; it is the man to whose works profit comes that can claim to be far- seeing.

Lílò: Èdè pé ní tòótọ́ ẹni tí ó bá fẹ́ ohun kan, ọ̀ranyàn ni kí ó ṣiṣẹ́, kí ó ṣaápọn fún ohun nâ; ṣùgbọ́n kìí ṣe gbogbo ẹni tí ó ṣiṣẹ́ ni ohun rẹ̀ ń dára, àfi kìkì ẹni tí ó ṣorííre, wọn á sì ka ara wọn sí ọlọgbọ́n

Use: Although, you may be working hard because you want certain things, this does not mean that you are sure to suceed; he who works hard and suceeds has the reputation of being far- seeing.
