A dá búlọ́ọ̀gù yii sílẹ̀ látara ìpè níja tí a rí lórí íńtánẹ́ẹ̀tì bí kò ṣe si ẹyọ̀kan tí ó bójú tó èdè Yorùbá. Bẹ́ẹ̀ gbogbo ọmọ Kóòtû- ò-jíire ló mọ̀ pé ọrọ Yorùbá duǹ mọ̀rànyìn- mọranyin. Ní orí búlọ́ọ̀gù yìí, a o màa fi ìròyìn lẹ́kùn rẹ́rẹ́ tọ́ yín létí, òwe lọ́kan ò jọ̀kan ò ní gbẹ́yìn, àlọ́ àpamọ̀ àti àpagbè la ó máa fi dá ara wa lárará. ÒWE

Òhun tí ajá rí tí ó gbó, kò tó èyí tí àgùntàn fi ṣe ìran wò.

Translation: What the dog sees and barks at does not amount to what the sheep sees and merely looks on.

Lílò: Èdè pé ohun tí ẹnì kan lè faradà, ẹlòmíràn lè ṣàìlè faradà tó bệ

Use: What some people can endure, others cannot.
