Bí alẹ́ bálẹ́ à ń fi ọmọ ayò fún ayò ni
Translation: When dusk has fallen the ayo nuts are put away.( Ayo is a game for two played on a board called ọpọ́n ayo. This has six cavities on each side and four nuts are placed at the start of the game in each cavity. Ayo is not played after dark. It is said that the reflection of artificial light on the nuts harms the eyes.)
Lílò: Ìkìlọ̀ pé kò tọ́ láti ṣe àṣejù; ohun tí ó yẹ kí a ṣe ní ìgbà kan, kí a má fi sìlẹ̀ di ìgbàmíràn.
Use: This is a warning against overdoing anything, however desirable. There is always an appropiate time for doing certain things.
