ÒWE

Àparò,ěṣe tí aṣọ rẹ fi pọ́n báyìí? Ó ní ‘Ìgbàwo ni aṣọ kò ní pọ́n? Ọ̀sán jíjẹ; òru sísùn; óńjẹ kò ṣé fi sílẹ̀ l’ọ́sàn ań, oorun kò ṣé fi sílẹ̀ l’óru láti fọ aṣọ’.

Translation: ‘Bushfowl, why are your clothes (feathers) so dirty?’ She said: ‘When will my clothes cease to be dirty? The day is for eating and the night for sleeping. Food cannnot be put aside during the day nor can sleep be put aside during the night to wash clothes.’
.

Ĺlò: Ìbáwí fún ìwà àṣejù tàbí ìmọràn pé ó dára kí a ṣe ohun tí ó yẹ ní ṣíṣe níwọ̀n- tunwọ̀nsí lásìkò láìṣe àṣejù.
.

Use: This reproaches a person for lack of moderation and suggests that there is a time for everything.
